John Erickson at Windsong Library

Hi Y'all!

Here's a great story from Your Houston News about John R. Erickson's recent performance and live telecast with schools all across the nation, including Windsong Intermediate's Library. From the article:

"Students in Kathy McVey and Janet Lell’s reading classes attended either the 9:45 or the 1 pm show. Author John R. Erickson talked to the students about the inspiration for his series, the journey from writing to self-publishing, and how what was planned to be one book became what is now a 64 book series.

He confirmed what this librarian always thought, that the character of Slim was based on him. Erickson played the banjo, sang songs, and read from Hank the Cowdog and the Case of the Mysterious Tricker Trees, before taking questions from three schools for each performance."
