Howdy Hank fans!

We hope you enjoy this tasty recipe

from Miss Viola's kitchen!

In Hank #71, "The Case of the Monster Fire"

(March 2018), her mother makes these

to send to Slim after a "Monster Fire"

hits the ranch.

Happy Baking!

1.   2 & 1/2 cups flour
2.   1 tablespoon baking powder
3.   1 teaspoon salt
4.   1/2 cup butter
5.   1 cup cheddar cheese
6.   1 tablespoon dried chives (chopped)
7.   3 tablespoons honey
8.   1 cup milk

- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- In a mixing bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Next, using a pastry-blender, cut the butter into the mixture.
- Add the cheese and chives and stir.
- Stir-in the honey and milk to form a soft dough.
- Place the dough on a floured surface and coat with a little flour.
- Knead dough a little by turning and folding it over itself about 5 or 6 times until less sticky.
- Roll dough to desired thickness and cut into rounds with a biscuit cutter or the top of a drinking glass.
- Arrange biscuits on a parchment-paper covered cookie sheet with sides touching, and bake until golden brown on top (about 11-12 minutes).
